Scholars and Athletes Serving Others (SASO) is making a difference in San Antonio!

Who We Are: Scholars & Athletes Serving Others (SASO) is an inclusive Mother/Son service organization for boys who live within NISD boundaries** (public, private or homeschooled) and their mothers.  SASO San Antonio is open to all incoming 9-12 high school boys in the above school boundary areas.  SASO provides volunteer opportunities for boys and their mothers and personal growth experiences for the boys.

What We Offer:

  • Volunteer Opportunities for moms & sons: SASO San Antonio is aligning itself with local charities and non-profits who need volunteers to assist with their events and programming. You won’t have to find opportunities to volunteer; we are already hard at work making that happen.
  • Personal Growth Meetings: Designed primarily for boys (although moms may attend), the meetings tackle age-appropriate topics like CPR, etiquette, distracted driving, vaping, car maintenance, leadership and college preparation!
  • Simplicity: No monthly meetings, no fundraising, no frills. Just a chance to bond with your family while being of service to others.
